Tyler Soncrainte, a 24-year-old lifelong resident of Waterford Township, is running for the Waterford Township Board of Trustees. Actively engaged in his community, Tyler is dedicated to enhancing the township's appeal and ensuring a sustainable future for Waterford.
Focusing on reducing rental developments and fostering home ownership, Tyler envisions a more transparent relationship between the township and its citizens and an improved relationship between the school district and township. His commitment extends to advocating for additional community sidewalks, improving local roads, and support initiatives to keep our township safe.
As a young candidate, Tyler uniquely connects with the next generation of homebuyers, a vital aspect for Waterford's long-term sustainability. Currently serving as the Youth Chair of the Oakland County Republican Party, Vice-Chair of the Waterford Cable Commission, Parliamentarian of the Michigan Young Republicans, Member of the Michigan Farm Bureau Candidate Election committee, and employed by a conservative non-profit, Tyler's diverse experience and extensive training, including programs like Young Americans for Liberty Grassroots Action Training and Leadership Institute's Youth Leadership School in 2023, showcase his readiness and motivation to lead Waterford into a new era of growth and prosperity.
